Sculptor Alexander Seton produced a body of work inspired by car safety devices and exhibited under the title ‘Supplementary Restraint Systems (SRS)’.
The colour yellow was featured predominantly in the exhibition’s catalogue as it is widely recognised as being a representation of safety.
A mix of papers, transparent and block, were used to create layers, linking the booklet to the structural encasement of car safety equipment.
Each catalogue was bubble wrapped in an overt effort to promote the exhibitions theme.
